Bell County Football Club (also known as BellCo FC and BCFC) is a United Premier Soccer League club playing out of Belton, TX while representing all Bell County cities such as Killeen, Temple, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), and surrounding areas of Central Texas.
The club is named after the Bell County, county’s name, and the county seat of Belton. The inspiration behind the crest and name is in order to give back to the city of Belton, named after Peter Hansborough Bell, the third governor of Texas and the namesake of the city and Bell County. In addition, the club is player and community owned in order to give back to the community and promote the beautiful game and the world’s pastime of soccer.
Our vision and goals are to promote high-level soccer while also bringing a winning and competitive team to the scene. Just like the UPSL, we also promote and are huge advocates of Pro-Development to help our young athletes to pathways and opportunities to college, professional, and other high-level forms of soccer in a league that promote our advocacy for promotion and relegation for fair and competitive play.
The club is composed of a men’s semi-professional team playing in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) while playing against teams from cities all around Texas, Oklahoma, and even nationwide with playoffs, cups, and other tournaments. We are sanctioned by FIFA, USSF, and UPSL as part of Division 4 of the U.S. Soccer Pyramid. These sanctions also allow our club to compete at the semi-professional level and qualify for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Bell County Football Club was founded in April 2019.
